Our Story.

We began with a people hungry for more than Sunday mornings. We longed to see the Holy Spirit move in real, everyday ways. That hunger brought us together on Saturday nights in small apartments and homes. Space was usually tight, but the desire was strong. Word spread, and soon 15 to 20 people were gathering—sitting on couches, floors, chairs, wherever there was room. Those nights reminded us of something simple and powerful: When Jesus is in the room, everything changes. We encountered Jesus.

In 2019 our community sensed the draw to gather in a small space in heart of downtown Johnson City that was granted to us to use to minister to Jesus and pray for our city. We called it the “prayer room”. From January - July 2019, we gathered Monday through Saturday. It was beautiful to say the least. People encountered Jesus. people were set free. People were restored. People were healed. People were made new.

In April of 2024, we began gathering again. we called the gatherings Habitation. Our desire was simple—to create a resting place for the Lord. We gathered in a loft overlooking East Main Street, inviting people into a space of presence, rest, and worship.

After years of hosting the presence of Jesus and welcoming people into our community, God provided a physical space of our own. Through His provision and perfect timing, we started a nonprofit corporation, and began hosting Friday night gatherings at 212 East Main Street, Johnson City in November 2024.
As seasons changed, we felt called to pause our worship nights in May 2025. While leaving that space was hard, we stepped away with a deep sense of peace—taking time to rest, refresh, and seek God afresh.
Now, in Fall of 2026, we are stepping out once again with a vision to start a house of prayer in Johnson City. For more information, visit the Prayer Room tab.
